Automotive lighting sourcing process

A useful quotation starts with a defined configuration. Use this process to prepare a lighting or automotive-parts sourcing brief for your business.

1. Identify the configuration

Choose a listed lighting series, select a fitting and add the requested quantity. If the part is not listed, provide an original part reference and clear photographs. Include vehicle details when compatibility matters.

2. Explain the destination and application

State your destination country, intended use, vehicle or lamp housing, electrical requirements and any dimensional constraints. A fitting label alone cannot establish vehicle compatibility or suitability for a destination market.

3. Review the proposed sample

Ask for the exact sample configuration, photographs, dimensions, electrical characteristics and supporting documents relevant to your application. Review beam pattern, installation clearance and performance for the proposed sample before making bulk decisions.

4. Confirm supply and packaging

Confirm sample quantity, minimum order, piece or pair packing, labels and packaging requests with the quotation. Availability, price, lead time, delivery terms and any after-sales arrangements are agreed for the actual order.

5. Send and retain your enquiry reference

The website lets you review your brief before choosing Send enquiry. A successful submission displays a reference number. Keep it for follow-up; submitting a brief does not place an order.

Use the wholesale enquiry checklist or send your requirements.
