Product confirmation and compatibility checks

Product confirmation should apply to the exact configuration being quoted. Use the following checklist when reviewing a proposed lighting sample for a US or European destination market.

Mechanical fit

Compare the original part reference, mounting base, lamp-housing space, connector and heat-sink clearance. Check dimensions for the proposed fitting; configurations within a series may differ.

Electrical and optical behaviour

Confirm the operating voltage range, measured power, light colour and proposed sample’s beam pattern. Check any vehicle-specific electrical interaction with the original equipment. A listed fitting or voltage reference alone is insufficient to establish compatibility.

Sample and document review

Agree the sample configuration and review relevant test information and documents against the exact model and intended application. Ask which claims are supported, how the checks were performed and whether documents correspond to the proposed item.

Packaging and commercial confirmation

Confirm piece or pair supply, labels, packaging requirements, minimum order, availability, delivery terms and the handling of issues before an order is agreed.
